How do I export citations from Virgo into RefWorks?

Answer

Answer:

There are several ways to download citations from VIRGO. If you know the title or author, using the Search function for Online Catalogs or Databases from within RefWorks will result in a reasonable number of citations. The Search function is found under the Tools drop down menu as well.

Step by Step:
  1. From the RefWorks menu, select Search and then Online Catalog or Databases from the drop down menu.
  2. Select University of Virginia from the drop down list of catalogs and databases, (1). Set the maximum number of references to download, (2). Enter the search terms in the field provided for Quick Search for: (3). Click on Search.
  3. When the search results are displayed, select the desired citations using the check boxes. Select the target folder from the Import to Folder drop down list. Click on Import.
