How do I locate the full title of a journal if I only know the abbreviation and vice versa?
Answer
PubMed's Journals in NCBI Databases tool offers an easy way to locate the full title of a journal when you only know the abbreviation, or the abbreviation for a journal when you only know the title.
Step by Step:
- Visit the Journals in NCBI Databases tool, located on the bottom right of the PubMed home page.
- Enter the abbreviation if you need the full title, or enter the title if you need the abbreviation. Select the matching title from the drop-down listing, then click Search.
- The NLM Catalog will return a record with the full title and abbreviation.
