How do I locate the full title of a journal if I only know the abbreviation and vice versa?

Answer

PubMed's Journals in NCBI Databases tool offers an easy way to locate the full title of a journal when you only know the abbreviation, or the abbreviation for a journal when you only know the title.

Step by Step:
  1. Visit the Journals in NCBI Databases tool, located on the bottom right of the PubMed home page.
  2. Enter the abbreviation if you need the full title, or enter the title if you need the abbreviation. Select the matching title from the drop-down listing, then click Search.

  3. The NLM Catalog will return a record with the full title and abbreviation.
